Omens and Superstitions: Lucky & Unlucky

 

1. If a crow flies in your window or lands on your roof, it is a harbinger of bad things to come.

2. When crows fly at one another it is an omen of war.

3. When a crow flies toward the sun it is an omen of sunny weather.

4. Omens of luck:

One crow, lucky
Two crows, unlucky
Three crows, health
Four crows, wealth
Five crows, sickness
Six crows, death.

5. As long as there are crows in the Tower of London, the British monarchy is safe. This story has evolved from the story of Bran the Blessed, a character in the Welsh Mabinogian. Bran’s head was buried in the tower to fend off French invaders.
